Elephants & Friends at Kanchanaburi - still operating?

We were in Kanchanaburi last week but couldn't find the park. Saw the signboard at the hotel NICHICO resort but the hotel reception didn't know anything. One of the tour agents at Kanchanaburi said they don't operate anymore. Anyone with info can let us... ...full story at Lonely Planet
