Is it possible to go by bus from Kashgar through Hotan to Golmud? We think the altitude might be too great on the Kashgar-Ali-Kailash-Lhasa route. Problem seems to be the final leg into Golmud (no public buses listed). Any help would be wonderful! ...full story at Lonely Planet
