More Wariness on Chinese Retail Sales Data

In the latest salvo against upbeat official statistics, a government-affiliated think tank said that China's booming retail sales figures overstate actual domestic consumption, and argued that Beijing still needs to do more to boost consumer spending. ...full story at China Journal
